101: Minor Detail - Canvas Of Life (1983)

We start our particular journey around the world in Europe. Ireland, 1983, to be specific. The brothers Hughes, John and William, were responsible for this small synthpop gem, in a virtuosity of both keyboards and guitars. The song progresses with catchy synths and powerful guitar riffs, an uplifting chorus and synthesized voices, always both song and video keeping a cheerful mood and an optimistic view of life. A song to which we may cling on to when we are blue. Brilliant.

A musical journey Around The World

Following the same spirit of our previous blog, 101 Grandes Temas Electronicos, we will select 101 great and mostly unknown electronic songs from different decades, at a rate of two new songs every week. Except for dance and experimental, we will try to cover most of the electronic styles, although synthpop will probably prevail. Again, following an interesting count-down till we reach the last, special, top 10.

In this case, however, we will cover small gems in a travel throughout the world, visiting numerous countries from all the continents, selecting music from diverse cultures, mostly in their own native language. To that purpose we have agreed in each selecting 50 songs from at least 25 different countries -each one may select a country only twice-, and in using the more-international English language to spread our musical vision of the world.

Everything is ready. Why don't you follow us in this amazing trip AROUND THE WORLD?
