86: Lips - Everything To Me (Adventure Club Remix) (2011)

From New Zealand, Lips is the solo project of Stephanie Brown, who has played keyboards in numerous bands. The original song is a soft and beautiful creation that encourages relaxation and reverie. However, the actual success has come with the remix by Adventure Club, which, without losing the elegance , adds a dubstep style to the track.

88: Скрябін - Твій портрет (1999)

Today we visit the cold lands of Ukraine, and we do it to discover the music of Скрябін (pronounced Scriabin), one of the few synthpop bands that have managed to be known in their country. Their sound recalls the beginnings of this genre, as it is evident in the chosen track, which title can be translated as The Portrait.

89: Parallels - Ultralight (2009)

We move directly to Toronto, Canada, where this trio -Parallels- is settled. The beatiful voice of Holly Dodson, the magnetic percussion of Cameron Findlay, former drummer of the also Canadian band Crystal Castles, and the enchanting electronic sounds of Joey Kehoe's synthesizers join together to create a stunning song, Ultralight, complemented with a musical video full of cybernetic games of coloured lights and shadows.

90: Lemon^Fly - Síndrome de Peter Pan (2000)

We stay in Spain to listen to a special song for me. It was year 2000 when I discovered an album that I loved, Síndrome de Peter Pan, by a band from Sevilla called Lemon^Fly. I liked the album so much that I decided to interview them for my small press fanzine. A few weeks later, Sony Music sent me the original album as a promotion (I was really thrilled with that, we are talking about a photocopied fanzine with a ridiculous run of 100 copies!). I have listened to this album many times and, no doubt, my favorite song is the one I have chosen here. I hope you enjoy it as much as me.

91: Kavinsky - Nightcall (2010)

The collaboration between French DJ Kavinsky and Lovefoxxx, lead vocalist of Brazilian band CSS, has proved to be a complete success. Its recreation of a nocturnal atmosphere, with eighties sounds and a cold vocoderized male voice followed by Lovefoxxx's warm touch, reaches its maximum when watching the start of Drive, the film in which this song was wisely included. Fabulous urban sounds to listen to when driving by night in a big city.

92: Röyksopp - The Girl and the Robot (2009)

We turn now to Norway to meet one of the most respected bands of European electronic music: Röyksopp. Since their 1998 debut, this duo from the city of Tromsø has gained critical acclaim and popular success around the world with his continued musical evolution, crossing genres and experimenting on each album. In this wonderful song, they collaborate with the popular Swedish singer Robyn. Such a combination could not fail.
